The men’s Flat Front 5355 is the more trouser-like W123 choice when you prefer a working fly and multiple storage areas. Its closure and inseam range distinguish it from the unisex Multi-Cargo pant.
Start with the front closure
Wink specifies a button front and zipper fly. Check that the closure sits comfortably when seated and that the front remains smooth with the waistband at its intended position. A flat-front style still needs enough room through the seat and thighs.
The official cut is a modern straight leg. If your priority is a narrow ankle opening, inspect the actual shape rather than assuming “modern” means a slim taper. Try it over the shoes you expect to wear.
Nine pockets are an organization choice
The manufacturer lists front slash pockets, cargo pockets with a phone holder on the left, rear hook-and-loop closures, a pen slot, and accessory loops. Think about which items benefit from a closed rear pocket and which you need to retrieve quickly.
Distribute a normal pocket load during your fitting. More storage can be convenient, but filling every available space can change how the waistband and legs hang. Pocket placement is the useful comparison, not simply the largest total.
Compare the measurements, not just W123 labels
Main fabric is 100 percent microfiber polyester with manufacturer-described four-way stretch. The 5355’s listed inseams are 28 inches short, 31 regular, and 34 tall. The unisex W123 pant uses different regular and tall measurements.
Before replacing an existing pair, record the model and length from its label. If the retailer offers several W123 styles together, verify the button-and-zip design in the selected listing rather than relying on a collection photograph.
