A closure matters during desk work too
Check the zip-fly area and drawcord waist while seated. The front should remain comfortable without requiring you to move the waistband repeatedly. If the seat pulls while the waist feels loose, compare sizing or another cut instead of tightening the tie until the front becomes uncomfortable.
